MKAD and MSM students around table

On Wednesday, April 26, students from the Marketing & Design and Marketing Sales Management programs were introduced to the world of transportation services.

Anderson Trucking Service opened its doors to 60 first-and second-year students, along with instructors Sheryl Workman, MKAD and Becky Shand, MSM.

SCTCC MKAD Alum Holli Harter is the Marketing & Creative Services Supervisor, and she led the presentation that included topics of logistics, business, sales, marketing, design and more.

SCTCC MSM Alum Logan Johnson is ATS’ National Sales Representative, Logistics, and he shared his personal ATS sales experience with students.

Other ATS speakers included Cory Link, Director of Sales, ATS Logistics; Deb Meester, Director of Sales, ATS Vans; Troy Heyne, Director, ATS Specialized; and Phil Thielen, Director, ATS International. The students were also able to tour the facilities, which are currently expanding due to the continued growth of the company.

“Being able to tour the facilities of Anderson Trucking Services was an amazing opportunity for us students from Marketing and Design and the Marketing Sales Management programs”, said second year student, Aubree Eiynck. “This experience gave us the opportunity to explore local careers and network with professionals.”
