The J.A. Wedum Center for Student Success is a support center for all students with a focus on those who are first-generation. First-generation students may be the first in their immediate family to earn a bachelor's degree from a college or university in the US.

It's proven that with extra support, students do better in college. The Wedum CSS is a first-generation student connection for tutoring, advising, financial aid assistance, and resources.

Cyclones Success Coordinators will reach out to first-generation students with an invitation to join this program.

All students are invited and welcome to the workshops and events that are hosted by the Wedum CSS.

With support from the Cyclones Success Coordinators, students can expect to do better in their classes and finish their degrees at a higher rate.

How do we know? Because it works with other programs at SCTCC. Athletes have extra support from their coaches. TRIO students had extra support from the program. Students who visit the CAS for tutoring do better in class.

Are you a former TRIO student? Reach out to one of our Cyclones Success Coordinators to meet with them about your options! You may schedule a meeting with a Success Coordinator through Navigate, or by emailing Nena or Tomy! They are located at Northway 1-252
