Each semester current SCTCC students are required to meet with an advisor to:

  • Review their academic plan
  • Receive their access code to register for courses for the coming semester

Meeting Options for Current Students

Visit Academic Advising Center during Drop-In hours 
  • Drop-in meetings are available at the Academic Advising Center (AAC), Room 1-401, most Monday through Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  
  • Students will meet with the AAC staff member assigned to drop-in appointments that day. 
  • It is recommended to register for classes EARLY to ensure required courses are available!
Schedule an Appointment with an Advisor
  • Schedule an appointment through D2L Starfish.
  • Meeting options include phone, zoom or in-person 
  • By scheduling an appointment, you have a schedule time and can avoid a waiting room.  
  • It is recommended to register for classes EARLY to ensure required courses are available! 

 

Meet with PSEO Advisor
  • Follow instructions that are emailed from your advisor. Come prepared with courses discussed with high school counselor needed to meet graduation requirements and a completed NOSR form for the current semester.  
  • Meeting options include zoom or in-person
Transferring from PSEO to a Regular SCTCC Student
  • Your last semester as a PSEO student, you advisor will assist you with transitioning to an advisor.  
  • Depending on career goals, you will be assigned an advisor in the Advising Center or to a program advisor.
Meet with Faculty Advisor
  • Faculty advisors will communicate days, times and delivery methods for student meetings. These meetings are usually held once a semester. 
  • Students can visit the Academic Advising Center (AAC), Room 1-401, most Monday through Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for questions about general education courses or to review their academic plan (DAR).  
  • It is recommended to register for classes EARLY to ensure required courses are available!

  • Drop-in in-person meetings are available at the Academic Advising Center (AAC), Room 1-401, Monday through Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Students will meet with the AAC staff member assigned to drop-in appointments that day. If you would like to meet with a specific advisor or have questions that might take longer than 20 minutes to answer, it will be best to schedule an appointment by calling the Academic Advising Center.

If you email your advisor to schedule a meeting about registering for classes, be sure to include this info: Student ID or StarID; Intended Major / program; Course(s) you plan to register for.
