Mathematics is a useful undergraduate major for students who are not only planning on going into the field of mathematics, but also for students planning on pursuing higher-level degrees such as law school and medical school. When you choose the Biology Transfer Pathway degree at SCTCC, you’ll save money on your generals before transferring to get your bachelor's degree. By getting your general math-based classes done at SCTCC, it provides a good foundation when you are ready to transfer.
At SCTCC, we equip our students with the skills required to succeed in any career or academic path they choose. To ensure success, we teach students skills in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.

With a degree from our Mathematics Transfer Pathway program, students have a variety of career options they can choose from for their future employment. Our graduates have worked as actuaries, college mathematics professors, high school mathematics teachers, and mathematicians.
By utilizing skills taught in SCTCC classrooms, we’ve had students work as natural sciences managers and statisticians. Our graduates even have opportunities in financial, business, insurance, information technology, and operations research analysts and researchers.

The SCTCC Mathematics Transfer Pathway associate’s degree fully transfers to a Mathematics bachelor’s degree program at any one of the seven Minnesota State universities. Our students have opportunities to further their education at Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University, Mankato, Minnesota State University, Moorhead, St. Cloud State University, Southwest Minnesota State University, and Winona State University.
